Asha by Ping Lau

Date of birth: October, 2026
26” long
Weight: 5 lbs 14 ozs

Asha is my vision of a beautiful toddler girl.

She was painted with heat set paint. I strive to create amazing realism with my skin tones and textures.

**SKIN**

She has gentle blushing and mottling, and subtle veins on the head, arms and legs to give the most realism to the skin that I can achieve.

Blushing and shading are painted all over each limb and the head to bring out all of the excellent details on the baby.

No crease or roll is overlooked.

This process takes many hours of work, but I do this to achieve the look that I want. It is worth it when I see the realistic results.

**HAIR**

She has fine human hair from a child's haircut. Her hair is a beautiful gold blonde blend with pretty golden highlights. Her hair is silky, fine, and shiny.

Her hair is so pretty, and lays so nicely.

I painstakingly micro-root using a very fine needle that roots only 1 or 2 hairs at a time.

The natural pattern of hair growth is followed giving the scalp a realistic look.

It takes many hours and days to root the hair, but the results are worth the effort.

Her hair has been internally sealed, and it can be wet, gently brushed, and styled.

**FACE**

Asha has an adorable expressive face. I have very softly painted her brows with a tiny brush one hair stroke at a time.

The brows are finely detailed, and she has rooted eyelashes.

She has some glass German eyes that are a beautiful blue color.

Her sweet little mouth has many thin layers of paint applied to get a natural lip color, and a light gloss was applied.

Her face has been painted and blushed to look like my interpretation of 12 to 18 month old baby

**BODY**

Asha has a ball jointed upper torso for her head and arms. Her lower body is cloth.

She has full arms and legs that have been filled with glass beads and fiberfill.

She has been weighted with glass beads and fiberfill. Her head, arms, and legs can be turned for posing.

I have not weighted her to be overly heavy because of her size, however more weight can be added if requested.

**MAGNETS**

Asha has a magnet for her pacifier. Her hair is long enough for clips or rubber bands.

**Layette**

Asha wears size 6-9, some 12 months. Size 2 shoes.

She will come home with the outfits in her shoot. I will include some extras to make a special box opening for the buyer.

All other clothing items are props used for her pictures.

**Blankets, toys, clothing, and other items are for her photo shoot and are not included in her layette.
