Edwin by Elisa Marx — Painted by me!

Meet Edwin, a sold-out limited edition by Elisa Marx, painted by me and finally ready to find his forever home. ?

And yes… he is VERY much a crying newborn. That little scrunched-up, freshly-born, “I have arrived and I am NOT happy about it” face is exactly what made me love this kit.

Edwin is 19 inches and weighs approximately 6.5 lbs, weighted and filled to give him that realistic newborn feel when you pick him up. He has dark brown rooted eyelashes and is bald, because newborns don’t all show up with a full head of hair. ?

For his complexion, I went a little outside my usual comfort zone and gave him more red tones and deeper mottling than I typically use. With a crying newborn kit like Edwin, it just felt RIGHT. He has that fresh, flushed, just-born look that really suits his expression.

Ordering Information:
Customs
I absolutely welcome custom order inquiries and am always open to chatting through your vision! That being said, my creations are deeply inspired by the kits themselves. Each doll I make starts with a connection to the sculpt and the feeling it gives me. While I’m more than happy to look into specific requests, not every kit sparks that inspiration for me. I’ve found that my best work comes from that genuine creative pull, and I want every piece I create to reflect that level of detail, care, and authenticity.
Authenticity
I only work with authentic, artist-approved kits and do not support or create from counterfeit or knockoff sculpts of any kind. Supporting the original sculptors and the artistry behind each kit is incredibly important to me, and I believe in honoring the integrity of their work. When available, a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) will be included with your doll. In cases where a COA is not provided for a specific kit, I will do my due diligence to verify its authenticity and ensure it is not a replica. When you purchase from Vinyls & Vital Signs, you can feel confident that your doll is created from a genuine, ethically sourced kit.
