Darren Reborn Doll by Kimber's Kiddos - 18 inches (45.72 cm).

This is Bountiful Baby's Realborn® Darren that I have assembled by using Darren's silicone head and Alyssa's silicone limbs. The scanned baby is a “boy” child, but you decide if this is a girl or a boy for yourself. I dresses the doll in non-gender specific clothing. His/her lashes are rooted; her hair is painted, no more worries of messy up the doll's hair when changing her clothes. Please note the depth of color I apply to the inside of the nose and ears.
Darren is a boo boo baby for several reasons. I am still perfecting my silicone painting skills and I tend to paint with a “heavy hand”. I've found that when I add more silicone paint to the kit the skin can get a “wrinkled” look to it when you hold the doll just so. Flaw ? Curiosity ? - I don't know if it is exacting a flaw, but I am trying to correct this as I learn to be a better silicone painter. Darren also has Alyssa's limbs. Again, another one of my oopsies!
I did not make Darren/Alysaa's doe suede body. And I don't like that the zip tie ends in the arms casing can't be hidden within the casing. I usually like to hid the ends within the casing and hand stitch the opening closed. I am not able to hid these so I am sorry you might feel the zip- ties's head when you pick the doll up.
Darren did come with a COA from Bountiful Baby but, I don't think it would be accurate to send a “Darren” COA with this oopsie, “Franken baby doll!”
The body has a glass filled pouch in the middle of the poly-filled body to give the body some weight. Darren has a challenging open mouth that is hard to fit with a pacifier. I have not included a binkie.
Darren/Alyssa will go home with:
1. 2 piece yellow outfit w/ hat
2. onesie
3. a diaper
4 .a flannel receiving blanket
5. a kitty cat plush toy
6. adoption certificate
7. care instruction
8. a mini jar of matting powder to dab on any “shinny” spots on the silicone.
As always, I try to provide accurate photos of my creation, but if you'd like more, I will provide more. Yes, all dolls look great dressed, but I try to show you all the different hues, blushing, and my veining techniques on the limbs, face and hair of my dolls.
