**** Please Note, this baby was purchased secondhand, unfortunately from a SMOKING home. I have done my best to rid her of the smoke smell over the past year+, but if you are sensitive to smells like myself, you may be able to pick up a faint whiff. Please keep this in mind when determining if Matilda is the right baby for you! ****

Matilda was sculpted by Marta Gladczak, and poured (also by Marta) in ecoflex 20 platinum silicone. She has armatures in her arms only, and poses incredibly nicely. I especially love the way her elbows bend, all the way down, very realistically. Marta gave her a fully sculpted mouth complete with gums and tongue, and she can take a regular sized pacifier. Her armpits are sculpted to perfection, as are her legs in their froggy newborn pose. She has pale blonde rooted lashes and brows.

Matilda has some small indentations on her legs, they appear to be from a previous owner's pet. There are no tears, no punctures all the way through, only claw-mark type tiny round indentations (see photos). She is a bald baby, though at one time she was rooted; the rooting holes are hardly detectable. As previously noted, she came to me smelling of smoke. I've tried various methods to get the smell out: scrubbing with dawn dish soap, covering her with baking soda and leaving in a sealed box for weeks, months in a box with kitty litter outside, she spent the cold winter on the porch, a soak in fabric softener, several months in a box with charcoal. She smells much better, but to the sensitive nose, the smell is not completely gone. For these reasons, she is priced accordingly. If you happen to be a smoker, or are not particularly bothered by smoke smell, this is an absolute steal!
