For your consideration is this absolutely precious Realborn kit from Bountiful Baby. This precious sleeping reborn is certain to melt your heart. So adorable to hold and rock in your arms. She is the sleeping version of Daphne. The realism of the Realborn kits is unequaled. There are so many things I love about them besides the incredibly real looking details. The Realborn kits have no markings on the backs of the necks.
The doll is a beautiful example of a reborn baby doll, and I gave the kit all of my skills and attention to detail. She has been painted with Genesis heat set paint.
Genesis heat set paint was used to give amazing realism. Many translucent coats were added to the doll. I gave the doll a decent amount of mottling. Delicate veins and capillaries on cheeks and eyelids were added. The limbs and face were sealed with a varnish that gives a dewy look to the skin. Delicate undertones and a baby manicure look was added for additional realism.
The delicate baby eyelashes were rooted with fine Slumberland mohair. For this baby doll, I opted to paint an almost balding look. I used paint brushes with the fewest bristles. Painted eyebrows. I gave the doll a small amount of white/blonde painted peach fuzz on her cheeks and forehead.
Daphne is a very nice weight of 6 pounds (close approximate). The doll has full limbs that move nicely for posing. She wears newborn clothing or 0-3 months. The doll's head should be supported like a real baby.
The doll is NOT meant to be a play toy for a small child. It should be cared for as though it is a collectible item. With care my dolls can last for many years. Daphne was given a magnetic pacifier. Please use care around any persons or equipment sensitive to strong magnets. Also, the doll is weighted with very fine glass beads. Always keep away from any chewing pets.

Daphne's layette will include the clothing she is wearing. The clothing is new with the exception of the one-piece pink Disney outfit. I do love to search at a nearby pre-owned baby clothes store. That item is like new. The other items the doll wears very well. The large pink baby headband is too large. I will include it in her layette, but if it is to be worn it would have to be shortened. I will include the COA, extra diaper. Baby will be wrapped in a receiving blanker. I box my items very carefully and safely. I will include some suggestions for keeping the doll in pristine condition. No other items will be included but I do select one extra of my own choosing.
